Sounds Like
'With their EP, We Could Be Anywhere, these lads know how to hold their own with lyrics and tracks that send their listeners to far off destinations most thought only to be accessible through fantasy books and films we once read as children.'
'a pretty, vitriolic lament in the vein of Bloc Party or Arcade
Fire....The quest for good heartfelt sweeping vitriol is one which I
think we'd all sign up for. And this is very good indeed' -
www.rockbeatstone.com
'‘Car/Plane/Boat’ is sensational. It’s subtle and moving, the singer sounds as if his heart has been broken so many times it’s pieced together by paperclips....Clearly a band that aren’t afraid to bear their soul, head straight to their myspace and join the Battle For Prague.'-
It’s not a quiet life, it’s managing to wake up every day and not give in. Sit in traffic, it's better than being in the office, you can change the station. Put some money away every month saving for a rainy day, a car, a house, something you already have but better. Wouldn't you rather be on a beach? Let’s run to the Galapagos and watch turtles f**k in the sun. I'd miss TV. Google your friends. Reinvent yourself on the Internet. Set yourself realistic goals, like making it through the next hour. The 21st century is a scary place. Worry about the environment, nanotechnology, cloning, and globalisation, but don’t panic, you’ll probably die before it all implodes. Vote for none of the above. Change your politics when you see your pay slip, the more you get paid the less you seem to do. Aspire to be the manager that you hate. Write I am bored a thousand times on your spreadsheet, wash your mug, go home, and listen to Battle for Prague.
We are 4 musicians who want to make music that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, because the right song at the right moment makes it all good. Lets laugh and cry, and feel alive……… Battle for Prague
Battle for Prague are Greg Milner (guitar/vocals), Lottie (drums), Greg Cox (guitar) and Tom (bass), they are part London, part Birmingham based and have played gigs at Birmingham Bar Academy, The Good Ship - London, Birmingham Barfly, The Jug of Ale, The Miller - London Bridge,The Flapper and Firkin & Club NME Birmingham. Their sound is often compared to bands such as Bloc Party, Arcade Fire and Clap your hands say yeah!

Hey guys, Thanks for the comment. We're looking forward to it too! You sold many of your tickets? I think we are well on our way to most of the ones we were given and hopefully get a few more people on the door. Two of us in the band go to Uni in Brum so hopefully get a few students to come out for it :D See you next Friday :) Em x
Heeeeeeeeeey man! yeh, i got the CD yesterday but our net has been down so i couldnt say thank you. Thank you. It sounds great, had it on in the car this morning too and its just mint! Cheers for sticking my name on it as asst. eng. chuffed to bits! you gigging n all that then?

We seen Look See Proof over a year ago at Birmingham main room academy supporting the Twang on that Xmas show they did. They did more than steal the show, they owned it! This is Indie music made by forward thinking musicians in love with pop songs....Angular, edgy, disjointed guitars are married with the most amazing songs about what it is to be young....
Did anyone see Gravity Crisis support these guys at Bar Academy? Anyway it was perfect. These boys write songs for the masses, songs that are meant to be performed in stadiums and songs that mean something to people. Gravity Crisis's are one of the most approachable and instantly enjoyable bands we've ever had the pleasure of seeing...
Flashguns are from the same school of rock as Bombay Bicycle Club (with whom they are good mates), with not one of them over 18, their talent is phemononal. Initially we thought they were like a young Kings of Lean, but they are so British, and sound more like a young Morrissey fronting Interpol....It sounds incredible. They are confirmed for the introducing stage at Reading and Leeds, and have received airplay from zane and hew this very week!!!
Hey fellas. Was a pleasure to play, meet and dance with you all on Sat. See you soon, no doubt. In fact, your drummer is to blame for my ears still ringing. Peace and Love. James
Hi Guys, Enjoyed your music. Thanks for the words! Really looking forward to meeting you for the Catapult Club gig @ The Actress & Bishop on 12th July. Until then peace and good wishes. OST.
Likewise, gentlemen. The Uk is the place to be for pop music, damn. So many good bands. What a challenge, makes you wanna get better n better. Thanks a lot for your compliments. Come battle for Paris when you can.
Fraid I'm living in the beautiful Isle of Wight with the fella these days so gigs have cut down to bare minimum. I played my own tunage down the local the other week though...one tune but that was enough to get my bones trembling hehe.
Hope the band is going well?? Will keep my eyes open for any of your gigs in Brum as we do visit when ever possible.
